Artist Bio

A hatred of art was formed early in my life, I dropped the subject as soon as I could at school and placed my artistic ability firmly in the cant even draw a stick man category! My teachers denounced my art and in turn fuelled my lack of artistic confidence. Years later after moving to Italy and having had a child my husband signed me up for art lessons with an Italian art teacher. Here I learnt to paint in oils in a very traditional way. After moving to Germany, I started to explore acrylics and play with colour. During lockdown one I experimented with water colours and even more colour.

Art has been my friend, my support and my pain relief for many years. Living with a chronic disease, art has been the thing that has lifted me out of the depths, it has bought light and colour to my life and been my one constant.
